I have been a dog lover since I was a child but my path to becoming a trainer was not a straight one. I took a lot of detours. I spent time working in an animal hospital and whenever an animal passed away I carried the emotions with me for weeks. I thought to myself, there is no way I can handle working in this field. I tried to focus on other things that interested me, but all roads led back to dogs. I found myself working at Villalobos Rescue Center and I embarked on a lifestyle that offered a whole new perspective on dogs and their behaviors. I have worked in several different positions during my 11 years (and counting) at the rescue and I finally decided to take the necessary coursework to become a Certified Dog Trainer!
